4-4 The technique is to punch from the outside when approaching and punch from the inside when retreating.

Method of Training

  1.  When in close quarters, throw punches to the outer areas, targeting the side of the opponent’s face or the side of their torso.
  2. Allow the opponent to cover and defend themselves.
  3. Step back and then re-enter with a straight punch aimed at the face or torso.
